Whoops! Looks like I've gotten a bit behind in updating my poor gallery. Let's play catch up, shall weh?

Here's my entry for Inspiration: Assignment 3. We were given a song to draw inspiration from for this one (Which is posted directly below). While most people got a peaceful, happy vibe from the song, the violins and bells in the background made me think of sadness and rain. Speaking of rain, this photo was the very first time I've ever edited rain into a photo. I tried to get a lot of detail going with it by adding splashes on the flat surfaces, and ripples in the water of the fountain. I'm SO so proud to say that this photo landed me first place, tied with ChicagoStorm's entry!

Here's my entry for Assignment 4. I can't find the photo it was inspired by, but it was a lone zebra standing right in the middle of a big herd of water buffalo. All I took away from it was the concept of standing out in a crowd, with a unique twist. I went for realism here with the hair drawing, mostly because the photo itself is a realistic sort of situation. I received first place for the second time in a row!

And finally my most recent entry for Assignment 5. Our inspiration this time was a beautiful CGI short film entitled Descendants (posted below). In the film, a beautiful white flower longs to be eaten by a deer-like creature because she wants to do more than just stay in the same place her whole life. In my photo, I switched out the flower for a beautiful forest nymph, and the deer creature for a stunning adventurer. He's so hot to me in this picture, yumyumyum! Haha. I unbelievably landed myself first place for the third time in a row!

Assignment 2 For Inspiration

Here's my entry for Inspiration's second assignment! This round we had to base our entry off of a video titled Sebastian's Voodoo (which I've posted below). There's an evil voodoo man in it stabbing these poor little defenseless dolls with needles, and that's who I modeled Lotus after. She's seen here, in the middle of the dense jungle, at her secluded little hut. We're no longer allowed to explain our photos to the judges, but it seems like they all got a fairly solid idea of what I was going for here. I actually landed myself third place for this, tied with Miss ChicagoStorm. I'm quite proud!

Here's a before and after shot to show the work I did on Lotus, taking her from a woman standing almost knee high in a river wearing a bikini to a tribal voodoo goddess. I made all accessories you see her from scratch, and I have to say, it was a really fun and rewarding experience, and I learned a lot for future edits.

Assignment 1 For Inspiration

I'm absolutely ecstatic about Evie's new competition, Inspiration. The whole basis behind it is so open and gives competitors very little boundaries when creating their entries. Above is mine for the first round, inspired by this photo:

I love how it turned out. It landed me second place by one point, right behind RD! I'm already pumped for the upcoming assignment, and have some ideas floating around in my head.

Assignment 3 For TOXIC Cycle 2

This was a completely non-editing round. Yikes. I've never done a picture before where I didn't edit at least something, so this was very unnerving for me. We had to depict our model at her worst on the runway. The story behind this is that Lotus was supposed to be in a techno/rave fashion show, but ended up going onto the wrong runway and crashing a gothic themed show.

Unfortunately, TOXIC Cycle 2 has been cancelled due to Jake's lack of time, which is completely acceptable. I had a blast while it lasted, though!

Assignment 2 For TOXIC Cycle 2

Woo! Pirates of the Caribbean FTW. For the "pick a celeb" round, I chose Keira Knightley and went TA TOWN with the POTC theme. You guys may recall in the movie when Jack and Will are in a rowboat on their way to rescue Elizabeth, and there's a bunch of treasure everywhere, including underwater. That's where I got the inspiration for this picture.

Assignment 1 For TOXIC Cycle 2

Oh my, it's been forever since I've posted on this blog! *Dusts off*

Anyways, here's my entry for assignment 1 of TOXIC, Cycle 2 with my newest model, Lotus Darkwind! It feels SO good to be back on the modeling competition scene, especially in as popular of a competition as the second cycle of TOXIC! I ended up getting second for this, right behind the incredibly talented PistolKitten. Here's the story behind this picture:

While most medieval alchemists focus on the purification of mind, body, and soul, Lotus concocts potions to hurt people...and tests them on herself. O.O

Never Before Seen Photos!!!

Several months ago when I first discovered modeling competitions and editing, I would do a lot of pictures just for fun (and also for practice). I haven't shown these pictures to anyone, this is the very first time I'll be posting them. Imbri was my ultimate star back then, so it's her in pretty much all of these photos. Click for larger size!

Imbri's a waitress-type thing at a casino. I was inspired to do the picture after I downloaded the outfit by Rose.


I made this one when I was missing warm weather like no other. It snows 9 months out of the year here. Blech.


Since Imbri's hometown is in Alaska, I decided to make a picture of her actually there. I was super proud of the footprints in the snow. ;]


I was inspired to make this one for the Super Bowl. FOOTBALL!!! UH!!!! xP


And this last one was posted once on the Supernatural Picture Thread when I was first starting out, so I guess you can consider it "Rarely Seen" as opposed to "Never Before Seen". I think mermaids with blue skin and crazy eyes are totally bomb. =]


So, there you have it. A little taste of what goes on inside the Rexy factory doors (aka mah brains and compooter). This is also a good time to give some helpful editing advice: practice, just like I do! Make pictures for fun. You'll see improvement. Prommizzz. ;]

Temperature Photos Set 2

Assignment 6 - Covergirl time! We all had to show off Covergirl shineblast lipstick in an ad.


Final Assignment!! - This one was a big one: five separate pictures. the first four were runway shots; one everday, one formal, one lingerie, and one swimwear. The last one was free form, we could do whatever we wanted. It's the picture in the banner of this blog, and my favorite to date. =]




I totally thought I might get banned for posting the lingerie picture on the TS3 forum. They're so weird about bans lately...

Lynx went on to win the first cycle of Temperature! I was completely overjoyed. I absolutely love the whole concept of the competition, and I'm now a judge for Cycle 2 so I get to be involved again!

Temperature Photos Set 1

Assignment 1- All models were given the same background to use and were told to look natural.


Assignment 2 - We were all given a list of animals to choose from for our models to portray. I took leopard. RAWR!! :O


Assignment 3 - Definitely one of my favorites creative-wise! We had to turn our models into pinup dolls. I put a really modern twist on it and made her a news anchor-themed doll.


Assignment 4 - Also one of my favorites! I think it was probably one of everyone's favorites. Like in the first assignment, we were given the same background to work with and had to turn our models into mermaids.


Assignment 5 - We were given three different emotions to enact with our models and put in a collage. I received Angry (first picture, Lynx getting a parking ticket) Dangerous (Lynx sneaking onto a thirteen story building at night) and Dumbfounded (Lynx winning the lottery. Note the tiny dinosaurs on the slot macine). ^.^

Assignment 6 - One of my favorites! The final four were given one of the four elements, and I recieved fire.


Assignment 7 - This one was really complex and time consuming. Our models were to be in two poses, one as a hero and one as a villain.


Final Assignment! - Three seperate photos for this last one. The first two were magazine covers, one for Simteen and one for Simvogue. The last one was or model representing a line of something, like clothing, makeup, etc.







Imbri went on to be the winner of EIS Cycle 2!! I'm now a judge for Cycle 3.

Elegance Is Sim Photos Set 1

Assignment 1 - We were all given a color to portray, I got yellow.


Assignment 2 - Models we required to wear Mardi Gras masks and show the opposite of who they really are.


Assignment 3 - This assignment was all about our model's favorite food. Imbri's is lobster.


Assignment 4 - We were all given a planet that our model was an alien from. I was given mars.



Assignment 5 - We were all given a high school clique to portray, and Imbri got goth. I'm actually not too fond of this one.
